Tony Hawk and Friends Show by Quiksilver
That was kind of the day of the ultimate Skate Pro's...as if it wasn't enough to check out Nike SB's Demo Dudes Koston, P-Rod and Co in the afternoon we got some more skateboarding to check out at night: yes indeed, Mr. Hawk himself entered the tremendous vert ramp at Max-Schmeling-Halle to jam with his buddies. And made kids and fans stand there gawping. Just feeling like a 12 years old skate nerds....ah what a keyword! N.E.R.D. entered the stage afterwords and tried to arrange the audience standing there like soldiers and following him. The leader. Monsieur Pharell. All in all: It was huge, loud and we have to admit: impressing.
Converse Backyard Burger Battle
Next Station: Converse Burger Battle - and truly?! Anyone who has not been there, really missed the point of having an chillaxing BBQ in beergarden atmosphere, smooth reggae tunes included. With its perfect idea of having three of the most significant streetwear styler crews as chief rockers in preparing burgers we can say: forget McD, BK or Wendy's. With the Sneakers'n'Stuff Burger, Wood Wood Burger and Patta Burger you had the choice to test every crews own ham creation. Our adjudgement: Patta won, you got that true burger skillz. And one soft-spoke question to WoodWood: who needs cottage cheese on a burger?! Anyway: all done great. Perfect dinner after a busy Bright day. Thanks for having us!
Vans Vault Launch @ SOTO
This is how a beautiful evening in Berlin-Mitte, the epicenter of streetwears finest side events during the tradeshow days, began: having some sushi and vodka at SOTO while checking out the launch of the Vans Vault Collection. Nice shop, some gardening'n'grass in the bar room and fine tunes on the sidewalk. The Filson x Vans is like waffle meets traditional, resistant outerwear. Warm colours, kinda old school lookalike...
Nike SB Demo "The Bird is the Word"
In the afternoon the Pro's of the Nike SB Team like Eric Koston, Lance Mountain, P-Rod, Omar Salzar, Daryl Angel and Cory Kennedy checked out our relentless skate park at Bright Tradeshow. With perceived temperature of 40° C in the burning sun the incredible guys came up with some wicked tricks and raped our obstacles in the most impressive way.
Green. Airy. Forvert.
There is nothing like feeling light and easy. And there is nothing like friendship business. Forvert is one of those brands which can definately call themselves experts in working with people they have a deep connection to. So that's what they also do with their booth conception: with Bleeck and Friends they found some incredibly talented dudes in questions of design. The last few booth conceptions were created in a friendship team play between them and Forvert, one was already elected for best booth last year. This year we find green balloons which were printed and fondly applicated with a heart-shaped closure by a workshop for the handicapped. Love for details. Love for green. Love for friendship. Forvert rules.
